I. production completion from January to September of 2019
By the end of September 2019, there were 6,641 pulp and paper enterprises, 31 fewer than in the same period last year, according to the national bureau of statistics' express report. Among them, there were 46 pulp manufacturing companies, an increase of 3 companies, 2,498 paper manufacturing companies, a decrease of 148 companies, and 4,097 paper manufacturing companies, an increase of 114 companies.
From January to September 2019, the national bureau of statistics (NBS) calculated the production volume and compared the data of the same period last year:
92.87 million tons of paper and cardboard, an increase of 4.21 million tons or 4.7% over the same period last year;
9.68 million tons of pulp, 850,000 tons less than the same period last year, down 8.1%;
52.17 million tons of paper products, an increase of 9.81 million tons or 23% over the same period last year. Among them: the carton production was 24.26 million tons, 3.05 million tons more than the same period last year, up 14%.
Ii. Achievement of major economic indicators
According to the statistics of the national bureau of statistics, the main economic indicators of pulp-making and paper-making enterprises above the scale from January to September of 2019 are as follows:
1. Main business income
From January to September 2019, the industry as a whole achieved 977.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 80.3 billion yuan or 7.6%. Among them:
The pulp manufacturing industry reached 11.4 billion yuan, 900 million yuan less than that of the same period last year, down 8.0%;
The paper industry reached 560.2 billion yuan, 24.9 billion yuan less than the figure for the same period last year, down 11.8%.
The paper products manufacturing industry reached 358.3 billion yuan, a decrease of 51.9 billion yuan or 1.0% over the same period last year.
2. Total profit
From January to September 2019, the industry completed 43.7 billion yuan, 15.4 billion yuan less than the cumulative figure of the same period last year, a decrease of 26.0%. Among them:
The pulp manufacturing industry suffered a loss of 0.5 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 1.1 billion yuan or a decrease of 105%.
The paper industry reached 21.7 billion yuan, down 15.3 billion yuan or 41.3% from the same period last year.
The paper products manufacturing industry achieved 22 billion yuan, an increase of 1.1 billion yuan or 5.2% over the same period last year.
3. Finished goods inventory
In the first nine months of 2019, the industry totaled 53.3 billion yuan, 5.5 billion yuan less than the same period last year, down 9.4%. Among them:
Pulp manufacturing industry 1 billion yuan, 360 million yuan more than the same period last year, an increase of 58.2%;
34.7 billion yuan, 6.6 billion yuan less than the same period last year, down 16.1%;
The paper products manufacturing industry reached 17.6 billion yuan, an increase of 800 million yuan or 4.5% over the same period last year.
4. Net accounts receivable
From January to September 2019, the industry as a whole reached 225.8 billion yuan, up 31.7% over the same period last year. Among them:
Pulp industry: 3.2 billion yuan, up 155.7% over the same period last year;
Paper industry: 136 billion yuan, up 36.7% from the same period last year;
